Job Description

• The X-Ray Technician (GL 07) is responsible for carrying out routine radiographic procedures to assist in clinical diagnosis and patient management within KTHSMB healthcare facilities.
• The role involves operating X-ray equipment, preparing and positioning patients, ensuring radiation protection, and maintaining imaging records.
• The technician will work under the supervision of a Radiographer or medical officer to deliver safe, accurate, and timely imaging services in line with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine X-ray examinations as requested.

• Prepare and correctly position patients for imaging procedures.

• Operate X-ray machines and related radiographic equipment.

• Ensure adherence to radiation safety and protection standards.

• Assist in processing and reviewing radiographic images.

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

• Report equipment faults and assist in routine maintenance.

• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the imaging unit.

• Support radiographers and clinicians during procedures.

• Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients.

• Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in X-Ray Technology or related field.

• Basic knowledge of radiographic procedures.

• Understanding of radiation safety practices.

• Good communication and patient care skills.

• Relevant experience.
