Job title: Wound Nurse (RN/LPN) Part Time - Weekend
About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Wound Nurse (RN/LPN) to oversee and implement the facility's Wound Prevention and Treatment Program. This role works closely with Unit Managers, the Staff Development Coordinator, and the Wound Care Team to ensure high-quality wound prevention, treatment, and staff education.
What You'll Do
- Administrative & Clinical Functions
- Assess skin condition of all new admissions using standardized assessment tools
- Collaborate with the Wound Care Team to determine appropriate prevention and treatment plans
- Obtain physician orders for wound treatment modalities
- Implement wound treatment plans as assigned by the Director of Nursing
- Accurately document all wound treatments and ensure consistency in documentation
- Complete weekly wound summaries
- Educate nursing staff on wound prevention principles
- Respect residents' rights regarding choice, consent, and refusal of treatment
- Consult with Unit Managers and Social Workers when needed to ensure compliance with facility policies and State and Federal regulations
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN or LPN license (required)
- Minimum of one (1) year of wound care experience
