Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a heavy-duty truck workshop.
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing truck maintenance and repairs, supervising mechanics and ensuring that HOWO, FAW, MAN and Iveco trucks are properly maintained, safely repaired and available for operations with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily workshop activities and coordinate the work of mechanics and technicians.
- Plan and monitor routine servicing, preventive maintenance and repairs of heavy-duty trucks.
- Inspect vehicles and review reported faults to determine required repairs.
- Monitor the quality and timely completion of repairs and maintenance work.
- Ensure repaired trucks are properly inspected and fit for deployment.
- Track vehicle downtime and follow up on outstanding repairs.
- Supervise the use and maintenance of workshop tools, equipment and facilities.
- Monitor the use of spare parts and ensure proper documentation of parts issued and replaced.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, breakdowns and vehicle maintenance history.
- Identify recurring mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ensure mechanics comply with workshop safety procedures and operational standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in truck/fleet maintenance, with supervisory experience.
- Proven hands-on experience with HOWO, FAW, MAN and/or Iveco trucks.
- Experience managing mechanics and coordinating workshop operations.
Truck Experience:
- Strong practical experience with HOWO, FAW, MAN and/or Iveco heavy duty trucks is required.
- Experience supervising the maintenance and repair of multiple truck brands will be an advantage.
