Workshop Engineer

About the Role Air IT is seeking a Workshop Engineer to join the Milton Keynes workshop. You will deliver machine set-up and configuration, asset management and inventory support for both clients and internal teams, ensuring equipment meets quality standards and is documented in our CRM. What You'll Do

• Set up new equipment for clients to specification, logging and actioning in CRM following established Service Desk procedures
• Deliver, install and configure end-user equipment on client sites as required
• Offer remote and on-site technical support to clients, addressing queries and issues promptly
• Manage and maintain off-site workshop storage facility, receiving and shipping customer stock
• Keep track of inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and handling of equipment
• Log and action all activity in CRM following Service Desk procedures
• Conduct quality checks on all equipment before delivery to clients
• Maintain and update accurate client site documentation
• Support the Technical services team on workshop-related sections of projects
• Maintain information security by complying with ISMS and relevant policies What We're Looking For
• Essential: Demonstrable knowledge as a Service Desk Engineer
• Essential: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server / Desktop Environments
• Essential: Experience with Microsoft 365, Backup/DRaaS and related technologies
• Essential: Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Desirable: Basic knowledge of Networking technologies (TCP/IP, Firewall, Routing/Switching)
• Desirable: Azure Active Directory & IaaS, InTune & Conditional Access Technologies
• Desirable: Mimecast email security Nice to Have
