About the Role The role supports the workshop team in assembling and repairing batteries, aiming for cost-effective work while meeting industry and safety standards. The successful candidate will assist technicians with various duties in a hands-on workshop environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical/mechanical assistance to technicians/mechanics as requested, including adjustment, maintenance, part replacement and repair of equipment and machines.
• Carry out minor repairs; perform requested repairs according to instructions, correctly and promptly.
• Assist with stripping/disassembling equipment to perform checks, quotes and complete repairs; assist with re-assembly.
• Clean and lubricate machinery, vehicles, equipment and tools; general cleaning of parts and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and neatness of the work area, store and/or yard (housekeeping, oil spill cleanup, etc.).
• Provide general physical assistance to technicians, mechanics and the supervisor as requested.
• Charge and changeover of batteries; inspect, clean and test batteries and chargers.
• Work in an efficient and safety-conscious manner; operate equipment and hand/power tools safely with or without supervision.
• Perform various other tasks as required by technicians.

What We're Looking For

• Practical mechanical/technical aptitude with ability to assist technicians with maintenance, repairs, and assembly/disassembly.
• Safety‑conscious attitude and ability to handle hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to perform cleaning, lubrication and housekeeping duties; ability to follow instructions.
• Experience with batteries, charging equipment and basic testing is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in battery assembly/repair or familiarity with battery chargers and changeovers.
