About this role
****eigenblue – We're building the future of engineering. A future where engineers build intelligent systems that solve complex problems, and work alongside those systems to bring their solutions into the real world. We solve complex, multidisciplinary engineering problems by combining deep human expertise with AI systems we build ourselves. Our proprietary AI models generate system architectures across software, electronics, mechanics, and applied physics - and our engineers stay in the loop, not as supervisors but as the decisive factor to bring those architectures into the real world.
As a Working Student (m/f/d) in Electronics and Mechatronics, you will work in a small, agile team and gain experience building Industrial IoT systems, working hands-on with electronics, embedded hardware, and mechatronic components from first prototype to functional solution.
Your role
- You support the development and testing of electronic and mechatronic components while getting hands-on with schematics, prototyping, and assembly
- Contribute to the integration of sensors, actuators, and embedded hardware into real systems
- You work closely with our engineering team on a real-world topic and bring in your own ideas
Your Profile
- You study Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar disciplines
- Practical experience with electronics: soldering, prototyping, reading schematics and ideally first experience with PCB design (e.g. KiCad, Altium)
- Interest in mechatronic systems: sensors, actuators, motors, and how electronics and mechanics come together
- You enjoy work in our workshop - building, assembling and testing prototypes
- Basic programming experience in C or C++ and familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g. STM32, ESP32, Arduino) are a plus
- Curiosity for low-level topics like communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C)
- Motivated to grow technically and personally, with a can-do mentality and good command of English
Your Package
- Competitive salary starting from €16 to €22 per hour, with your individual placement depending on your experience and qualifications
- Hybrid work setup giving you the flexibility to balance focus time with staying close to your colleagues, along with your choice of OS
- Everyday perks including subsidized lunch through our Foodji
- Regular team and company events: Our Christmas party, eigendays, and quarterly team buildings
- Support with your thesis and IDPs to help you grow both academically and professionally
