About the Role Organize after-class group study sessions for Veterinary Medicine students by reserving a small classroom and coordinating with the Assistant Dean. Answer questions during sessions, and develop or adapt PowerPoint presentations aligned with course objectives.
What You'll Do
- Organize after-class group study sessions for Vet Med students and reserve a suitable classroom through Assistant Dean
- Answer questions during group sessions
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations using original teaching material or develop new ones based on course learning objectives
- Create multiple choice questions and other activities to reinforce learning
- Provide feedback on student understanding and identify concepts that require revision
- Teach material to current Vet Med students
What We're Looking For
- LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
- Have completed the course with an A letter grade
- Maintain an overall GPA greater than 3.5
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $20 per hour
- Work-study position; Non-Exempt status according to FLSA
