About the Role The Work Study Student Assistant (Pathways Advising & Admissions) provides on-site clerical support to the Pathways Advising & Admissions office at Midland College. This part-time, on-campus role assists staff with events, the Welcome Desk, and daily administrative tasks while enabling eligibility for work-study employment. What You'll Do
- Greet, welcome, and direct visitors; staff the Welcome Desk as needed
- Perform office and clerical tasks including filing, copying, mail handling, and data entry
- Answer telephones and respond to inquiries; inform visitors or refer to appropriate staff
- Assist prospective students with completing the local application; support event setup
- Sort incoming mail and maintain organized files; other duties as assigned What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled Midland College student and registered for classes; must meet Work-Study eligibility through Financial Aid Office
- Basic computer skills; excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; knowledge of general office equipment (copier, multi-line phone) Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

- Hourly wage of $9.20; part-time, on-campus work-study position
