About the Role

EVERSANA is seeking a highly experienced WMS Workflow Architect to provide technical, functional, and strategic leadership for the Datex WMS platform supporting pharmaceutical 3PL operations. This senior role acts as the design authority across warehouses, clients, and solution implementations, guiding onshore and offshore configuration teams, ensuring architectural soundness, compliance, and operational excellence across multi-client pharma distribution environments.

What You'll Do

• Serve as enterprise architecture and design authority for Datex WMS workflows.

• Define and enforce enterprise-wide WMS architecture, including warehouse blueprints, workflow standards, integration patterns, and compliance frameworks.

• Validate and approve WMS design changes from onshore/offshore teams.

• Maintain understanding of current and future processes, regulatory expectations, and pain points.

• Lead and mentor onshore and offshore WMS workflow developers, analysts, QA testers; manage priorities, workloads, and timely delivery; coordinate client onboarding.

• Build capability across teams with training, playbooks, process maps, reusable components.

• Act as escalation point for configuration, design, integration, and environment issues.

• Ensure workflows adhere to DSCSA, cGMP/GDP, 21 CFR Part 11, and audit trail/e-signature requirements.

• Oversee validation strategy including URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, traceability matrices, controlled releases.

• Partner with Quality for regulatory audits readiness.

• Architect efficient workflows: FEFO/expiry-driven allocation, lot/batch/serial control, quarantine/QA/hold/release, temperature-controlled workflows, controlled substances handling, multi-client 3PL billing, VAS/kitting.

• Optimize RF flows, wave strategies, replenishment logic, bin strategies, exception-handling.

• Oversee integration with ERP, TMS, carriers, automation, serialization; approve EDI/JSON/XML mappings; lead event-driven/API/serverless integration; guide data governance across item master, location master, client profiles, regulatory attributes.

• Production environment leadership: escalation for major incidents, change control, release management, environment synchronization, configuration versioning; drive continuous improvement and KPI elevation.

• Cross-functional leadership: partner with Ops, Quality, Engineering, Customer Solutions, Client Onboarding; support RFPs; communicate decisions to executives; promote DEI.

• What We're Looking For

• Proven senior-level leadership experience in WMS architecture, ideally Datex WMS, within pharma distribution / 3PL.

• Deep expertise in Datex WMS, enterprise architecture, design authority, cross-functional leadership, and program delivery across onshore/offshore teams.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements: DSCSA, cGMP/GDP, 21 CFR Part 11; audit trails and e-signatures.

• Experience with URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ, traceability matrices, controlled releases.

• Experience with integration design (ERP, TMS, carriers, serialization); defining EDI/JSON/XML mappings; event-driven/API/serverless.

• Data governance experience (item master, location master, client profiles, regulatory attributes).

• Knowledge of RF/WMS optimization: FEFO, lot/batch/serial control, quarantine/QA/hold/release, temperature-controlled workflows, controlled substances handling.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

• Onshore/offshore team leadership; mentoring; training; playbooks; reusable design components.
