About the Role Northern Trust is seeking a WM App Support professional to design and implement data processing solutions and support project delivery in the WM technology space. The role involves hands-on development, technical consultation, and mentoring of analysts to ensure reliable, scalable systems that meet business needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct feasibility studies and define designs for complex data processing projects.
- Develop or maintain programs, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and installation as needed.
- Prepare and review project phase reports, evaluating requirements and design impact on production and support needs.
- Consult with systems and business partners on new techniques, practices, or technologies and their impact.
- Evaluate techniques and technologies to enhance business outcomes and drive continuous process improvements.
- Participate in strategic planning and long-range technology direction for the business unit.
- Serve as technical or business consultant on project development, production health, and implementation of new processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor Analyst-level staff.
- Work on projects and refine project or process management skills.
- Leverage expertise across domains to deliver high-quality work with minimal revisions.
- Produce work products with reduced need for revision.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of programming languages and various business applications; able to support all project phases.
- Proficiency in programming, debugging, and testing systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for systems guidance.
- A college or university degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience mentoring or acting as a subject matter expert.
- Ability to consult with partners across systems and business units and drive process improvements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $88,900 - $151,100 USD per year.
