Job title: Wiring Technician
About the Role Volt is hiring Wiring Technicians in Hopkins, SC to assemble and wire switchboard and switchgear products. The role involves wiring complex assemblies, including PLCs and circuit monitors, and performing mechanical assembly, all while following safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Assemble and wire a variety of complex assembly and subassembly operations for switchboard and switchgear products.
- Wire component schemes including PLCs, circuit monitors, and other advanced electronic devices.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks and work in tight spaces inside units to wire.
- Operate safely, adhering to OSHA and site-specific standards.
- This is a full-time opportunity with 1st and 2nd shifts available. There may be periodic overtime on short notice.
What We're Looking For
- Sound knowledge and experience in assembly and wiring techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, material lists, and other source material.
- Experience wiring in a manufacturing or contract environment.
- Ability to lift and hold assembly parts weighing up to 35 lbs repeatedly.
- Steel-toes footwear required.
- Highly motivated and self-directed with ability to work in a team environment; a good work record.
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $18 - $20 per hour.
