Job title: Wiring Associate
About the Role Volt is hiring Wiring Associates for a global manufacturing company in El Paso, TX. This is a full-time position focused on wiring assembly and electro-mechanical product assembly, including switchboard cabinetry. You will read complex prints and schematics and troubleshoot, fabricate and install parts.
What You'll Do
- Performs wiring assembly operation of one job (from pre-arranged kit)
- Assemble moderately to complex electro-mechanical products
- Assemble custom switchboard cabinetry - medium to large sized parts
- Read complex prints and schematics
- Troubleshoot, fabricate and install parts
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment to complete job
- This is a full-time opportunity. Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible to work OT on Saturday); 1st Shift: 6am - 2:30pm; 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 12am
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years previous Assembly experience
- Experience reading prints and schematics
- Ability to work independently
- Expertise with basic hand tools, air tools, gages and torque wrenches required
- Good hand eye coordination and excellent natural or corrected vision
- Understanding of electrical principles and UL Requirements is highly desired
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work Overtime is required
- Pre-employment physical is required
Nice to Have
- UL electrical requirements knowledge is desirable
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: 1st shift - $16.00 per hour; 2nd shift - $17.25 per hour
