Job title: Wire EDM Operator
An industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stampings and assembly is seeking a Wire EDM Operator to set up, program, and operate Makino wire EDM machines for tool steel and die components. This is an on-site role based in Windsor, Ontario.
What You'll Do
- Set up, program and operate Makino wire EDM machines for tool steel and die components.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of EDM equipment and software.
- Coordinate with CNC coordinator to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Tool & Die environment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/schematics.
- Effective interpersonal skills and strong verbal/written communication.
- Good organizational skills and team-oriented.
Nice to Have
- Experience with deep draw, aluminum, and UHSS stamping dies.
- Proficiency with EDM tool setting and die components.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage range: $23.00 - $27.00 CAD per hour.
- On-site role at Kapco Tool and Die (Windsor, ON).
