WIC Program Generalist - Part Time
The Children and Family Health Institute (CFHI) is a charitable, nonprofit program of VNA Health Group focused on improving the health and well-being of children and families through accessible, community-based care. CFHI delivers high-impact programs including nutrition support, preventive screenings, vaccinations, and inclusive health services through community health centers and mobile outreach. We are seeking a WIC Program Generalist to provide essential support in the WIC certification process and ensure eligible participants receive food benefits. You’ll play a key role in delivering top-tier patient services in a fast-paced clinic environment. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required. Responsibilities

Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers

Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience

Schedules WIC appointments

Obtains, verifies and documents participant information

Obtains anthropometric measurements and blood work for participants

Maintains inventory logs for blood work, blood work controls and cuvettes

Distributes WIC checks

Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies

Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED

Experience with culturally diverse population

Knowledge of basic computer skills

Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills

Valid drivers license/auto insurance required

Bilingual (Spanish and English) required

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Busy clinic environment at various locations in the community; ability to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00.
