Job title: Wet Chemistry Analyst
About the Role Prepare and analyze water and soil samples using EPA methodologies for both instrumental and classical wet chemistry techniques. This role supports accurate data generation and reporting to help drive health and environmental insights.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and analyze water and soil samples using EPA methodologies, for both instrumental and classical wet chemistry techniques.
- Follow methodologies and SOPs; document activities and report results concisely and accurately.
- Operate analytical instrumentation and interpret sample data; perform maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Area Supervisor; support data management and integrity.
- Maintain strong computer proficiency with Excel and Word; document and report results clearly.
- Work effectively in a team setting and individually; demonstrate problem-solving and initiative.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or science-related field.
- 2-5 years’ experience in an Environmental Testing Laboratory preferred.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation (Ion Chromatograph, Discrete Analyzer, Auto-Titrator, TOC or Lachat Autoanalyzer).
- Strong computer skills with Excel and Microsoft Word; proficient data reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities; detail oriented; able to multi-task.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication; able to communicate with staff, management and clients.
- Able to work well in both a team setting and individually.
- Eligibility to work in the United States (citizenship or permanent residency or valid work visa).
- Physical demands: able to sit/stand for 8 hours; lift up to 50 lbs; good vision/color perception; ability to perform repetitive motions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with instrumentation including Ion Chromatograph, Discrete Analyzer, Auto-Titrator, TOC or Lachat Autoanalyzer is a definite plus.
