Wellness Coordinator
We are looking for a Wellness Coordinator to support community-based health and engagement programs for seniors in Oakland, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can build strong relationships, coordinate wellness initiatives, and serve as a reliable resource for participants seeking guidance and support. The role requires bilingual communication in Mandarin or Cantonese and a thoughtful approach to program delivery, member outreach, and service coordination.
Responsibilities

Coordinate wellness activities for senior participants, helping plan, launch, and monitor programs that align with established best practices.

Gather participant feedback through surveys and other outreach methods to assess program interest, measure satisfaction, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Address incoming questions from members and provide clear information about available wellness resources, services, and appropriate referrals.

Support day-to-day administration of program operations, ensuring activities are organized, documented, and carried out effectively.

Build engagement with the member community by encouraging participation and fostering stronger connections between seniors and available services.

Track program outcomes and assist with reviewing results to help evaluate effectiveness and guide future planning.

Maintain accurate participant and program records using relevant computer applications and healthcare-related systems.

Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to help deliver services smoothly and respond to participant needs in a timely manner.

At least 2 years of experience in wellness coordination, medical administration, case management, or a related support role.

Conversational ability in Mandarin or Cantonese, including the ability to understand and communicate with participants effectively.

Experience supporting wellness programs, employee wellness initiatives, or community-based health services.

Comfortable using computer applications and healthcare platforms such as EHR systems, Allscripts, Cerner, or similar tools.

Ability to manage participant inquiries, handle inbound calls, and provide accurate information with professionalism and empathy.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities, maintain records, and follow through on program tasks.

Familiarity with administrative healthcare functions such as documentation, referrals, billing-related processes, or claims support is preferred.
