Job Title: Well Intervention Supervisor

Locations: Delta, Lagos and Rivers

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical specifications and scope of work for equipment to be tendered and services for well intervention operations.
• Cooperate with the well operations superintendent, providing advice during pre-qualification and tender evaluation phases to ensure contractor and supply selection meets technical targets and company standards.
• Supply cost estimates for future operations budgets and current AFEs, ensuring reliability of provided data.
• Contribute to development project planning in liaison with petroleum and reservoir engineers, providing technical input to optimize cost and effectiveness.
• Monitor well and reservoir performance, providing technical expertise and advice for identifying and initiating enhancements to well potential.
• Appraise new wireline, and well testing technology and products to determine their application to OERNL’s operations, improving time, cost performance, and safety conditions.
• Prepare and review, slickline, coiled tubing, wireline, and well testing programs and final well reports, ensuring adequate feedback about operations as per safety management system requirements.
• Review daily operations versus the program, conducting thorough investigations and operational time analysis.
• Provide engineering assistance to the well operations superintendent in the follow-up of operations.
• Provide reports and analysis on operated and non-operated activities for presentations, meetings, and management reporting, ensuring consistency with OERNL’s feedback reporting system.
• Regulatory & Partner Liaison • Assist supervisors in contact with partners and regulatory bodies, providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Provide monthly updates on variance between actual and estimated expenditures for each job center and class of cost, liaising with the completion and well intervention superintendent to update contract expenditures.
• Ensure the production and review of completion and well intervention procedure manuals to comply with OERNL’s company policies and current legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher national diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related engineering discipline. An MSc in petroleum/geology or a related engineering field is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience spanning both office-based engineering and active field supervisory positions. A minimum of 5 years dedicated to complex, high-risk drilling environments is preferred.
• Experience Levels: LEVEL II: 11 – 20-year experience - LEVEL III: 21 – 30-year experience.

Certifications:

• Valid BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)

• IWCF (International Well Control Forum) or IADC Well Cap Level 4 certification, renewed every two years
