About the Role In this role, you will contribute to improving Welding manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by evaluating current and new methods, incorporating new technologies, and driving cost-reduction activities aligned with Lean principles. What You'll Do
- Drive process-related improvements to support plant metrics around safety, quality, and efficiency using lean manufacturing tools.
- Develop performance indicators to measure plant and equipment capacity and identify bottlenecks in welding processes (manual and robotic).
- Provide technical support to install new systems and capital equipment on time, within cost constraints, and aligned with the production forecast.
- Resolve technical problems and recommend production improvements.
- Apply strong knowledge of welded part dimensioning, GD&T, and corresponding tooling features.
- Collaborate with operators, vendors, and tool designers to develop tooling designs and tools within quality and cost constraints.
- Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of direct manufacturing experience with the duties described above.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and duties outlined above.
- Experience with welding, GD&T, tooling, and Capital equipment installation.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; ability to work with operators, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 72,750.00 to 106,700.00 per year plus any applicable bonus.
