As a Welder, you will:
The Certified Welder is a highly skilled, safety-critical role responsible for the fabrication and structural integrity of high-pressure vessels and complex industrial actuators in strict accordance with ASME standards. Operating under rigorous third-party inspection and strict traceability requirements, this role demands absolute precision, advanced blueprint interpretation, and the mandatory maintenance of specialized welding certifications to meet stringent regulatory codes.
Responsibilities

Fabricate and weld complex pressure vessels, tanks, and actuator components in strict adherence to ASME and other mandatory pressure vessel regulatory codes.

Execute precision welds that are subject to rigorous third-party inspections at three distinct stages of the production process to guarantee structural integrity and regulatory compliance.

Interpret advanced engineering drawings and mechanical blueprints to accurately measure, place, set up, and secure complex fixtures for highly customized production runs.

Prepare, execute, and validate first article inspections to establish baseline quality and structural standards prior to full scale production.

Permanently stamp a unique personal identification number into all completed work to ensure lifetime traceability, complete accountability, and stringent quality assurance.

Maintain active, up to date welding certifications and meticulously manage continuity logs to prevent credential lapses, as mandated by the site certification policy.

Coordinate with designated internal evaluators and third-party laboratories to successfully pass rigorous internal qualification tests within the strict timeframes and attempt limits dictated by facility policy.

Maintain a clean, organized work environment while safely managing extreme heat, heavy industrial materials, and hazardous welding gases.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in advanced industrial welding, specifically with high pressure vessels, tanks, or heavy structural fabrication.

Ability to successfully pass required site specific certification testing within a maximum of 3 attempts during the onboarding period, with results verified by an external third-party laboratory.

Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and fixture setups (technical competency will be evaluated via a practical assessment during the interview and shop tour process).

Uncompromising commitment to quality and safety, understanding that failure to maintain active certifications or pass continuity re-certification will result in immediate removal from the role.

Ability to endure the physical demands of the role, including lifting heavy materials, manipulating complex fixtures, and operating safely in a high heat manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills and/or Experience

Active or previously held credentials in ASME Section IX, AWS, or specific pressure vessel codes.

Prior background in customized industrial fabrication requiring frequent fixture changes, intricate setups, and first article preparations.

Familiarity with the strict documentation, testing parameters, and continuity logging required to maintain active regulatory welding credentials.

Pay Range: $21.70 to $23.70 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
