Welder
Volt is immediately hiring Welder in Groveport, OH As a Welder, you will: Be responsible for welding carbon steel outlets onto steel pipe for fire sprinkler system applications. Be responsible for operating automated and semi-automated welding equipment. Be responsible for performing manual GMAW (MIG) welding on carbon steel pipe and fabricated assemblies. Be responsible for completing specialty welding tasks, including spool pieces, flanges, and related components. Be responsible for inspecting completed work for weld defects, dimensions, alignment, end preparations, and seam splits. Be responsible for repairing weld discontinuities and failed welds as required. Be responsible for reading and interpreting production paperwork and work instructions. Be responsible for using tape measures and basic measuring tools to verify product dimensions. Be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe welding station. Be responsible for reporting equipment malfunctions, repair needs, and safety concerns promptly. Be responsible for meeting company quality and productivity standards. This is a full time, Contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 1 year of MIG (GMAW) welding experience Minimum 1 year of machine operation experience Accurately read and use a tape measure Work safely in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Basic computer skills Good communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude Preferred Skills & Qu
