Job Description: Performs a variety of manual duties, by working on multiple projects and tasks where demands require workmen with varied experience and ability to work without close direction. Assist the foreman in all aspects of traffic control, i.e., road striping, pavement marking, and the fabrication and installation of all types of temporary and permanent signs and traffic control devices.
Overview
A worker who directs traffic in or around a construction site. May use signs or devices to directtraffic. May help assemble, position, and clean devices or equipment used to direct traffic. Must be able to effectively communicate with the public. May require certain level of training by GDOT specifications.
