About this role
What will I do as a remote Web Developer?
As a remote web developer, you’ll work with U.S.-based companies to build and maintain websites, landing pages, and web applications. Depending on your skill set, you may work on front-end, back-end, or full-stack projects, often collaborating with designers, marketers, and product managers to bring digital ideas to life.
We’ll match you with a client whose work style aligns with yours. Some professionals prefer fixed hours, like 8 to 5, while others value more flexibility. Either way, the client sets the expectations, and we make sure to connect you with a company that fits your preferred way of working, all from the comfort of your own home.
What skills are important for remote Web Development roles?
Languages & Frameworks: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, PHP, Python, Node.js, etc.
CMS experience: Familiarity with platforms like WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or Headless CMS.
Version control: Git and GitHub/Bitbucket for code collaboration.
Responsive design: Ability to create mobile-first, cross-browser compatible layouts.
Communication: Clear written English to collaborate asynchronously with international teams.
Do I need a degree or certification to apply?
Not necessarily. While a computer science degree or coding bootcamp experience can help, we care most about your ability to build functional, clean, and scalable websites.
If you’ve got a portfolio, GitHub projects, or freelance experience, that’s often more powerful than a certificate. Still, certifications like Meta Front-End Developer, Google UX Design, or Scrum Fundamentals can make your profile stand out.
