Job title: Wealth Planner

About the Role This role partners with Financial Advisor teams to deliver comprehensive financial planning solutions within Merrill Wealth Management, a unit of Bank of America. It focuses on identifying strategic investment opportunities, gathering and analyzing data to create robust financial plans, and building internal relationships to support client goals. The role requires knowledge of estate and gift taxes, philanthropy, trust structures, insurance, income tax planning, and investment management.

What You'll Do

  • Leverage extensive financial data to identify possible solutions to meet client needs and goals.
  • Schedule, prepare, and attend client meetings to review plans, capture changes, and discuss next steps.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain client information in a related planning tool and plans on a consistent basis.
  • Engage with specialists and partners to address client needs and deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisor(s) and Advisor Team(s) to drive the planning process and create robust client financial plans.

What We're Looking For

  • Series 7, 63/65 or 66 or equivalent; must obtain all state registrations held by the Financial Advisor(s) and Advisor Team(s) they support.
  • SAFE Act Registration; ADV-2B Required.
  • CFP® or CPWA® designation and/or obtain/maintain at least one firm approved designation.
  • Understanding of how to deliver a strong overall client experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the suite of Wealth Management products and services.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills; ability to partner with specialists and across lines of business to meet client needs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, root cause and effects and develop strategies to increase growth and mitigate risk.
  • Ability to make sound decisions by having a deep understanding of financial planning best practices and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to identify client needs and concerns and articulate appropriate approaches to align solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way.
  • Knowledge of estate and gift taxes, philanthropy, trust structures, insurance, income tax planning, and investment management.
