Job title: Wax Dresser
About the Role The Wax Dresser on the 2nd shift dresses and blends wax patterns and operates related equipment. The role focuses on safe operation, consistent quality, and meeting daily production quotas, reporting to Dept. 610 Supervisor.
What You'll Do
- Dress and blend wax patterns using safe equipment and techniques
- Operate wax-dressing equipment and maintain production quotas
- Maintain safety standards and quality through proper tool use (glue, nail polish, car wax, china marker, propane torches, hot needle, hot plate, exacto knives, and dental tools)
- Work with a team and independently as needed; maintain a positive work environment and strong attendance
- Communicate with supervision and follow daily production directives
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment; previous casting experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, may be substituted by experience
- Experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools
- Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity; dependable with strong attendance
- Able to work flexible hours, strong sense of urgency, motivated self-starter, able to work independently, and able to collaborate with others
Nice to Have
- Casting experience is a plus
