About this role

About the Role Wright-Pierce is seeking a licensed Water Resources Project Manager to lead and manage water resources engineering projects. The role involves directing engineers, performing calculations, and delivering planning, analysis, and design for water resources systems, including stormwater, floodplain, riverine, coastal, roadways, sites, dams, and bridges. This position emphasizes project leadership, client communication, and delivering high-quality technical work.

What You'll Do

  • Perform engineering calculations and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Direct junior engineers in performance of technical tasks
  • Perform technical reviews of water resources analyses and design documents
  • Lead engineering planning, analysis, and design of water resources-related systems and infrastructure
  • Develop engineering proposals and presentations
  • Manage projects from planning through delivery
  • Foster strong communication and relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Pursue continual learning and professional development

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in Water Resources engineering
  • Hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling and analysis experience (ICPR; HEC-RAS; HEC-SSP; HEC-HMS; HydroCad; SWMM)
  • Experience with surface water hydrology and GIS
  • Experience with open-channel hydraulics, gravity pipe, and bridge hydraulics
  • Environmental Resource Permitting experience
  • Professional Engineer licensure required
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (MS considered a plus)

Nice to Have

  • MS degree considered a plus
