We are a leading player in the building materials and ceramics manufacturing sector, committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. We are expanding our team and looking for a qualified and experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations at our Ajaokuta Factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure SOP are complied to, set the right process for good governance
- To ensure inwards and outwards are done in timely manner and with well controlled
- To ensure loading of trucks as done as per sales order
- To ensure ERP compliance is done
- To supervise drivers and loaders
- To ensure there are no breakages in WH and stocks are kept properly
- To ensure periodic physical verification is done
- To ensure stocks are maintained properly
- To ensure timely ERP entries are passed
- To have exposure in bar coding, stretch hood etc
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/warehousing environment
- Strong computer skills
- Analytical mindset with a techno-commercial approach
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a proven track record of effective negotiation and cost-saving initiatives/strategic sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, and vendor management.
- Experience in managing and developing Store teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
