Job title: Warehouse Operator 1 (Day Shift)
About the Role The Warehouse Operator 1 is responsible for receiving, processing, organizing, and storing inventory in the warehouse. This role involves picking and packing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The candidate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, as well as bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
What You'll Do
- Pick and pack orders in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when required.
- Coordinate activities around warehouse operations; unpack, inspect, sort, and store stock in appropriate locations.
- Ensure pallets and shelving units are in good working condition.
- Organize stock and maintain inventories; maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment.
- Report any unsafe work conditions; maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of recent distribution or warehouse experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working at heights while using machinery, when required.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality; reliable.
- Experience using RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not required.
- Licensed with any one of the following forklifts: Counterbalance, Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker, or Dock Stocker (Reach experience preferred) is a strong asset.
- Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- SAP background preferred but not required; intermediate knowledge of computer applications.
Nice to Have
- SAP background preferred but not required.
- Forklift licensing (Counterbalance, Raymond Reach, Order Picker, or Dock Stocker) is a strong asset.
- RF scanner experience (if not already listed) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $19.81 - $29.71 per hour.
