Job title: Warehouse Operator 1 (Afternoon Shift)

About the Role The Warehouse Operator 1 is responsible for receiving, processing, organizing, and storing inventory in the warehouse. This role involves picking and packing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The candidate selected for this role must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and frequently lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift. Physical stamina is essential since the tasks are consistent and fast-paced throughout the workday.

What You'll Do

  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when required
  • Coordinate activities surrounding warehouse operations
  • Unpack, inspect, sort, and put stock away in appropriate locations
  • Ensure pallets and shelving units are in good working condition
  • Organize stock and maintain inventories
  • Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment
  • Report unsafe work conditions that may occur
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow company policies and OSHA safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of recent distribution or warehouse experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable working at heights while using machinery, when required
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Experience using RF scanner or manual picking preferred but not required
  • Forklift license(s) such as Counterbalance, Raymond Reach, Order (Cherry) Picker, or Dock Stocker (Reach experience preferred) is a strong asset
  • Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • SAP background preferred but not required
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer applications
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Nice to Have

  • SAP experience
  • Reach truck experience

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $19.81 - $29.71 hourly
  • On-site role in Guelph, Ontario
