About the Role
Layelle Africa is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory, order fulfilment, staff performance and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Plan and allocate tasks while supervising staff attendance, productivity and performance.
- Monitor inventory, stock counts, reconciliation and movement of goods.
- Coordinate order processing and timely dispatch with logistics partners/couriers.
- Identify and escalate stock discrepancies, damages, losses and operational issues.
- Implement warehouse procedures and SOPs while ensuring safety and quality compliance.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory or operations management.
- Previous experience supervising warehouse or operations staff.
- Strong organisational, coordination and communication skills.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accountability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and basic digital reporting tools.
- Ability to work hands-on and effectively manage a warehouse team.
