Job title: Warehouse Lead
Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for managing warehouse operations across Sagamu and Kano, with overall responsibility for the safe and accurate handling of sesame and related commodities. The role supervises the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Officer at Kano, controls receiving, storage, stacking and dispatch, coordinates with Quality, Inventory, Procurement and Logistics, maintains warehouse discipline, hygiene, security and documentation, and monitors stock movements and supports physical verification, ensuring warehouse operations at both hubs meet operational and quality requirements.

- Team Supervision
- Supervise the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Officer at Kano, providing direction and performance oversight for warehouse operations at that hub.
- Set performance expectations, conduct reviews and coach Kano-based warehouse staff to maintain consistent operating standards across both hubs.
- Receiving, Storage, Stacking and Dispatch Control
- Control the receiving, storage, stacking and dispatch of sesame and related commodities at both hubs, ensuring adherence to approved procedures.
- Ensure warehouse layout, stacking patterns and storage conditions protect product quality and enable efficient handling.
- Cross-Functional Coordination (Quality, Inventory, Procurement, Logistics)
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Inventory, Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of commodity through the warehouse in line with operational and shipment schedules.
- Resolve cross-functional warehouse issues, such as hold status, lot readiness and dispatch scheduling, promptly.
- Warehouse Discipline, Hygiene, Security and Documentation
- Maintain warehouse discipline, hygiene and housekeeping standards, and ensure security measures protect stock from loss, theft or damage.
- Ensure all warehouse documentation (goods received notes, stack cards, dispatch notes, etc.) is accurately maintained and readily available for audit.
5.Stock Movement Monitoring and Physical Verification Support
- Monitor stock movements across both hubs, ensuring system records reflect actual warehouse stock accurately.
- Support and coordinate periodic physical stock verification/counts, investigating and resolving variances.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or a related field. Relevant certification in warehouse/inventory management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control practices is desirable.
- Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in warehouse/store management, including experience overseeing multi-site warehouse operations, preferably within the agro-commodity, food processing or FMCG sector.
