Job title: Warehouse Lead
About the Role Lead a warehouse team to execute essential manual duties, promote safety and quality, and drive efficient operations in CEVA Logistics' Plainfield facility.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the lead to distribute work assignments and daily activities to team members.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Post the area’s performance numbers and monitor metrics.
- Oversee loading and unloading of products; manage material organization and flow from receiving to storage or shipping.
- Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the assigned area.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures for handling and receiving goods; proper labeling, tagging, and packing of goods.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and move orders to packing stations or the shipping department; open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Assist in receiving cargo by hand or with manual equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks).
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined criteria (size, type, color, product code).
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED; 1 year of warehouse or distribution experience; 1–2 years of industry-related experience preferred.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders; good or corrected vision; ability to add and subtract.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with multi-functional and diverse teams; ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists/forms; problem identification and resolution.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $19.00/hr - $21.00/hr.
