Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator
The Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (such as cherry pickers or forklifts). You will unload inbound shipments, replenish stock, pick, pack, sort, and load outbound products in accordance with customer specifications to support healthcare partners and hospitals. This role supports Owens & Minor’s distribution operations from the Tracy, CA facility with a focus on accuracy, safety, and timely processing.
What You'll Do
- Receiving: Unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers manually via pallet jack; accurately count, verify, and receive product using RF equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology; document variances.
- LUM Picking: Select products and quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and place items into totes on the conveyor belt; remove empty cartons from pick module as needed.
- Sortation: Prepare sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product; move cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers to pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
- Loading: Use RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery; use pallet jack to load pallets.
- General: Follow general sequencing and process procedures; maintain a safe and clean work environment; adhere to safety policies and communicate hazards; participate in physical inventories as required; count and perform basic math calculations; maintain productivity and quality standards; perform additional duties as directed.
What We're Looking For
- General knowledge of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.) and the ability to apply it to daily tasks; prior experience in a warehouse/distribution center is a plus.
- Willingness to learn how to use new material handling equipment and WMS technology; ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet performance standards; good attention to detail; dependable with regular attendance.
- Ability to adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures for safety rules and training requirements.
- Warehouse/Operations certification is a plus.
