Job title: Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator
About the Role A full-time Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator at Owens & Minor is responsible for performing warehouse tasks in a distribution center, primarily without heavy equipment, with occasional use of electric pallet jacks. The role supports inbound receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, and loading outbound shipments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery for healthcare partners.
What You'll Do
- Perform receiving: unload pallets and cases; count and verify products using RF or Voice Pick Technology; document variances.
- Execute bulk picking and select items per Vision Pick Technology or RF scanner; place into totes or pallets.
- Assist on the dock: scan and load freight using electric riding pallet jack or manual carts.
- Prepare sortation area; move cartons from conveyors to pallets/carts per batch.
- Load totes/pallets onto trucks using RF scanner and pallet jack; ensure correct loading.
- Follow standard procedures, maintain a safe/clean work environment, report hazards.
- Conduct physical inventories and basic math calculations; place inbound merchandise into inventory.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to perform warehouse tasks accurately and safely; willingness to follow sequencing and process procedures.
- Basic math and counting skills; comfortable using RF scanners and Vision Pick technology.
- Proactive in maintaining a safe, clean work environment; reliable to work Monday-Friday 3PM until finished.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and other movement equipment as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RF scanning and Vision Pick technology; knowledge of RF/Wave solutions.
- Experience with pallet jacks and electric riding pallet jacks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated pay rate: $20.50 per hour, with 8% and 10% shift differentials where applicable.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3 PM until finish.
