Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a reliable and organised Warehouse Assistant to support its warehouse, inventory, logistics, and training centre operations.
- The successful candidate will assist with receiving and storing stock, order picking and dispatch, inventory management, logistics coordination, and preparation of equipment for technical training programmes.
- This role is suitable for an early-career individual looking to gain hands-on experience in warehousing, supply chain operations, and the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming stock.
- Store products safely and accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Support picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
- Help maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with labelling and identification of products and inventory.
Inventory & Stock Control:
- Assist with stock counts and inventory audits.
- Update inventory records and stock movement logs.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly received products.
- Support inventory reconciliation activities.
- Learn and use warehouse management and inventory systems.
Logistics Support:
- Assist in preparing deliveries and collection orders.
- Coordinate with drivers and logistics partners when required.
- Ensure delivery documentation is accurate and complete.
- Support tracking of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Training Centre Support:
- Assist with preparing equipment and materials for training programmes.
- Support workshop setup and breakdown activities.
- Help maintain tools, training devices, and demonstration equipment.
- Ensure training rooms and workshop areas remain organised and safe.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Follow warehouse safety procedures at all times.
- Wear required PPE and encourage safe working practices.
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Assist with maintaining safety signage and compliance records.
Learning & Development:
- Participate in structured training across warehouse operations, logistics, stock management, and renewable energy products.
- Gain knowledge of solar modules, batteries, inverters, and electrical equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process documentation.
Requirements
- OND, NCE, Technical College qualification, or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and email.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop practical warehouse skills.
- Ability to lift and move products safely within warehouse guidelines.
Added Advantage:
- Recent graduate with an interest in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or renewable energy.
- Previous internship, NYSC, or warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with inventory or stock control systems.
- Interest in solar energy and technical products.
