Warehouse and Facilities Manager

The Warehouse and Facilities Manager role at MAX (Max.ng) in Ibadan, Nigeria, is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and the maintenance of company facilities. The successful candidate will ensure efficient storage and movement of materials while maintaining a safe, secure, and well-functioning workplace.

• Key responsibilities include managing daily warehouse operations such as receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of materials and products; maintaining accurate inventory records; conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations; monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishment to prevent shortages or excess inventory; ensuring proper storage, labeling, handling, and organization of materials; supervising warehouse and facilities staff; coordinating inbound and outbound logistics and transportation activities; implementing procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
• Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, security, and general condition of company facilities; coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, equipment, utilities, and other facility systems; liaise with contractors, suppliers, service providers, and landlords as required; ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and workplace regulations; conduct regular inspections and address safety hazards, equipment issues, and facility defects.
• Manage facility-related budgets, procurement, maintenance costs, and operational expenses; maintain accurate records of inventory, maintenance activities, inspections, incidents, and facility services; develop and implement emergency preparedness and business continuity procedures; investigate operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions; support audits and ensure warehouse and facility operations meet company standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve warehouse and facility efficiency; demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills; communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include:

• A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, facilities, logistics, or operations management; proven experience supervising teams and managing day-to-day operational activities.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management practices; good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse/inventory management systems; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred skills include experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms, facilities maintenance and contractor management, procurement and vendor management, strong analytical and reporting abilities, and knowledge of occupational health and safety standards; ability to develop and manage operational budgets and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Key performance indicators include inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity and order fulfillment, stock loss and damage rates, facility maintenance response and completion times, health and safety compliance, operating cost efficiency, equipment and facility uptime, supplier and contractor performance, and employee productivity and compliance.
