Job title: Warehouse Agent
About the Role DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Warehouse Agent in Minneapolis, MN to perform warehousing and distribution tasks across receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, labeling, loading/unloading, and inventory control. This role supports the flow of shipments by air and sea within DHL's logistics network.
What You'll Do
- Receive, sort, and segregate incoming shipments for warehouse/distribution facilities
- Load and unload shipments onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Sort and process outgoing shipments according to procedures; load shipments into vehicles; apply strapping, bracing, and padding as needed
- Prepare and update information in computerized systems (logs, packing lists, pick tickets, invoices, inventories, transfer/delivery tickets, orders, receipts)
- Maintain inventory records and perform audits to ensure freight integrity and security
- May perform routine vehicle, equipment, and warehouse maintenance; operate forklift, hand jacks, and other equipment
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Knowledge of scanning freight in/out of the warehouse
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
- Able to walk/stand/kneel for long periods and lift 40-50 pounds occasionally
- Forklift experience (stand-up preferred)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience preferred
- Warehouse or Freight Forwarding industry experience strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- Optional/preferred qualifications such as additional forklift experience or broader logistics industry expertise
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $23.36 - $31.14/hr
