Job Title: Waitress

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, attentive and customer-focused Waitress to provide excellent food and beverage service to hotel guests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking and serving orders accurately, maintaining clean and well-presented dining areas, responding to guest requests and ensuring a positive and professional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional service.
Present menus, explain available meals and beverages, and take accurate orders.
Serve food and drinks promptly and according to established service standards.
Set, clear, and maintain tables before, during, and after service.
Respond to guest requests, questions, and complaints professionally.
Process payments and operate the POS system where required.
Coordinate with the kitchen and rooftop/service team to ensure timely order delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the dining and service areas.
Monitor guest needs throughout their visit and provide appropriate assistance.
Follow hotel policies, food safety requirements, and service procedures.
Performance Expectations
Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests.
Take orders accurately and ensure timely delivery.
Maintain clean and properly arranged tables and service areas.
Demonstrate good knowledge of menu items and available services.
Handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
Maintain compliance with hygiene, grooming, and service standards.
Minimise order errors, delays, and avoidable customer complaints.
Support other service staff during busy periods.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience as a Waitress, Server, or in a similar hospitality/customer service role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
Experience using a POS system is an added advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be well-groomed, courteous, and customer-focused.
Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Salary

N70,000 - N150,000 / month.
