About the Role Take on a new challenge and apply your validation and verification expertise in a cutting-edge field at Alstom in Bangalore. You’ll deliver high-quality validation campaigns for embedded railway solutions, ensuring safety and reliability. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute test plans, and to develop test environments and tools. What You'll Do
- Perform functional testing using NI TestStand tools
- Design overall test architecture, test cases, and test scenarios
- Execute test sessions and produce test reports
- Investigate and resolve defects detected during testing
- Specify, design, and validate test environments and tools
- Ensure test traceability and compliance with software, V&V, and safety processes
- Contribute to workload estimation and scheduling
- Manage V&V work products under configuration management
- Collaborate with global teams and adapt to different geographical contexts What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE, EEE, or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in verification and validation of complex embedded systems
- Experience in requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environments
- Proficiency in testing with NI TestStand suite
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python or Perl
- Knowledge of test life cycles, defect management, and debugging
- Familiarity with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Rectify, and DOORS
- Understanding of standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO-178B
- Domain knowledge in railway signaling, avionics, or a similar engineering field
- Programming skills in C, C++, C#, or Ada (Ada experience is desirable)
- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
