V&V Designer

About the Role Join Alstom in Bangalore as a full-time V&V Designer. You’ll apply validation and verification expertise to deliver high-quality validation campaigns in real or simulated environments, ensuring the safety and reliability of embedded railway solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and validate test activities across subsystem and system levels. What You'll Do

• Perform functional testing at subsystem and system levels.
• Design overall test architecture, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Execute test sessions and produce test reports.
• Investigate and resolve defects detected during testing.
• Specify, design, and validate test environments and tools.
• Ensure test traceability and compliance with software, V&V, and safety processes.
• Contribute to workload estimation and scheduling.
• Manage V&V work products under configuration management.
• Collaborate with global teams and adapt to different geographical contexts. What We're Looking For
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5-8 years’ experience in complex software/systems testing.
• Automation testing using Python and Robot Framework.
• Familiarity with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Rectify, and DOORS.
• Understanding of standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO-178B.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience in requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environments.
• Experience in testing safety-critical systems.
• Knowledge of microservices testing, including performance and robustness testing.
• Experience working in an international and multicultural environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Railway systems knowledge and transport domain knowledge (preferred). Nice to Have
