The Job

As a VP, Value Creation Strategy and Assessment, you’ll be part of our Value Creation leadership team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to:

  1. Lead the Value Assessment Strategy
  • Lead the development and continuous evolution of the Value Assessment strategy and framework across the Tools & Outdoor business.
  • Establish consistent methodologies, tools, and governance for identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and quantifying enterprise value creation opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify strategic opportunities that improve growth, profitability, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Ensure value assessment methodologies align with enterprise priorities and support long-term capability development.
  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and data-driven decision making across the organization.
  1. Identify and Assess Value Creation Opportunities
  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of enterprise value creation opportunities across the Tools & Outdoor business.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities aligned to business priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases supported by financial analysis, operational insights, market intelligence, benchmarking, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on strategic alignment, value potential, implementation complexity, investment requirements, and organizational readiness.
  • Present recommendations and investment cases to executive leadership to support prioritization and resource allocation.
  1. Manage the Value Creation Opportunity Portfolio
  • Build and manage the enterprise portfolio of value creation opportunities.
  • Partner with Strategic Initiatives, PMO, Finance, and business leaders to transition prioritized opportunities into execution.
  • Continuously evaluate the health of the opportunity portfolio and identify emerging areas of strategic focus.
  • Monitor the realization of anticipated business value and recommend adjustments to improve future opportunity selection and assessment.
  • Support the development of future value creation opportunities that strengthen long-term competitive advantage.
  1. Build Strategic Partnerships
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership across the Tools & Outdoor business.
  • Develop strong partnerships across Finance, Operations, Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, Digital, and functional leadership teams.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and accelerate enterprise value creation.
  • Challenge conventional thinking by bringing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to complex business decisions.
  • Influence organizational alignment around enterprise priorities through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  1. Lead and Develop the Team
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Value Assessment & Strategy organization.
  • Coach and develop leaders responsible for value assessment, strategic analysis, business case development, and opportunity prioritization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Develop organizational capability in strategic thinking, financial analysis, opportunity assessment, and executive communication.
  • Create a high-performing environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Strategy, or a related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, finance, transformation, business operations, or related disciplines within a complex global organization.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing strategic business opportunities through structured analysis, financial modeling, and business case development.
  • Proven ability to influence executive-level decision making through data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and effective communication.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience assessing investment opportunities, operational performance, and enterprise value creation initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment across multiple business functions in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

Salary range for this position is $168,900.00 - $301,100.00
