About the Role
Most sales leadership roles hand you a machine and ask you to run it faster. This one hands you a market and asks you to go take it.
You'll go after large, custom enterprise deals: the complex, multi-stakeholder, high-ACV kind that doesn't close on a template. The playbook for winning them at this scale is still being written, and you're the one writing it. Every deal you close becomes the pattern the team runs after you.
Some weeks you'll be structuring a seven-figure deal with a founder on the call. Others, you'll be rewriting the entire pitch because a prospect said something that broke your assumptions. That volatility is the job, and for the right person it is the most alive they've felt in years.
The growth curve here will not resemble anything you've operated inside before. Not the pace, not the compression, not how quickly the scope of your role changes underneath you. If you've only scaled inside companies that were already scaling, this will feel different in kind, not degree.
Twelve months from now you could be running a team you hired, on a motion you built, at a company that didn't have either when you walked in. That's the actual offer.
If you've spent the last few years wanting to build the thing instead of running someone else's process, and you want the next three to four years to be the chapter you point to for the rest of your career, this is that role.
If you want a defined territory, a mature pipeline, and a comp plan that hasn't changed in two years, this isn't that!
The Path
First few months: Operate as an individual contributor. Close couple of large enterprise deals yourself.
After proving the motion: Build and lead the sales team, including hiring, process, and quota-carrying reps under you
What You'll Do
-
Own the full cycle on complex, custom enterprise deals: multi-stakeholder, long-cycle, high-ACV
-
Navigate technical buyers (data, GTM ops, RevOps leaders) and translate Business Graph capabilities into business outcomes
-
Partner with different stakeholders on technical validation and custom deal structuring
-
Build the initial sales playbook (positioning, pricing, objection handling) as you close
-
Post-IC phase: recruit, ramp, and manage a lean, high-performing sales team
-
What We're Looking For
-
7 to 10+ years in enterprise SaaS sales, with proven success closing six and seven figure custom deals
-
Comfortable being an IC first. Ego doesn't get in the way of building
-
Experience selling technical or infrastructure and data products to enterprise buyers
-
Prior experience building or scaling a sales team, even a small one, at an early-stage company
-
Based in or willing to relocate to Seattle or the Bay Area
Compensation
- $300,000 to $400,000 OTE (base + variable, 50:50 split)
- Uncapped commission
