About the Role The VP Cloud will lead Matrix42's Cloud strategy, operations, and financial performance across Core, Pro, and Enterprise platforms. The role is accountable for operational excellence in Cloud delivery, driving measurable KPIs, improving customer experience by reducing escalations, and strengthening profitability with a focus on increasing Enterprise Cloud Gross Margin. It will champion flexible Cloud Your Way deployment models that prioritize data residency and sovereignty, and ensure offerings are resilient, compliant, and trusted.

What You'll Do

• Define, implement, and continuously improve Cloud Ops KPIs across the product portfolio; ensure KPIs trend positively in line with availability, performance, cost efficiency, cloud gross margin, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive operational automation, standardization, and adoption of best practices; build platform-agnostic stack to enable flexible deployment models across hyperscalers, private clouds, and on-premises data centers.
• Establish a proactive Cloud incident management framework; own escalation metrics and ensure downward trend; partner with Customer Success and Support to accelerate resolution and perform timely root-cause analysis.
• Own Cloud cost management and margin optimization; implement practices to optimize resource consumption, vendor contracts, and scaling models; drive gross margin while maintaining high service quality; maintain a low operational cost base for competitive pricing across deployment models.
• Deliver flexible deployment models via Cloud Your Way: Public Cloud, Private Cloud with country-specific data residency, On-premises deployments; provide turn-key options and ensure data residency sovereignty; position Matrix42 as a trusted European choice with compliance.
• Build and scale an observability framework and tool stack across network, infrastructure, application, and end-user experience; ensure observability across multi-cloud deployments for early incident detection.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing CloudOps organization; champion a customer-first culture across Cloud delivery.

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Operations and managing SaaS infrastructures in multi-cloud scenarios.
• Proven track record delivering SaaS cloud at scale; preferably in Enterprise Service Management, ITSM, UEM.
• Strong financial acumen in cloud cost optimization and margin improvement.
• Experience with CloudOps practices; demonstrated success rolling out across multiple units including Engineering.
• Proven experience establishing observability across network, infrastructure, and application layers in multi-cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of platform-agnostic cloud stack design and deployment building blocks; strong knowledge of data residency, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in Europe.
• Excellent stakeholder management; ability to partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Enterprise Service Management, ITSM, UEM is a plus.
• Experience with sovereignty-focused deployments or turn-key deployment programs.
