About the Role Volunteer role with UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center, supporting therapeutic riding, therapeutic driving, and hippotherapy programs. - Help with barn duties: horse turnout, paddock care, moving hay, and other farm tasks as needed.
- Support therapeutic programs by assisting riders and horses in riding, driving, and hippotherapy activities.
- Complete volunteer paperwork, attend training, and commit to assigned day and time during the six to eight-week term.
- Dress for safety and comfort: wear closed-toe shoes; tie back long hair; avoid dangling jewelry; avoid clothing that drags; dress for weather; shorts allowed in summer; winter layering recommended that does not restrict movement or get caught in equipment. What We're Looking For
- Minimum age 14; interest in volunteering with therapeutic horses.
- Comfortable with moderate physical activity and able to lift 40-50 lbs; safety-conscious and able to work around horses and farm tasks.
- Willing to attend training and complete required paperwork; reliable and communicative.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and dress code; comfortable in a barn environment.
