About the Role AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is seeking volunteers to help older adults prepare taxes, supporting financial resilience for seniors. This program provides training and supervision as part of a national effort to improve financial stability for seniors.
What You'll Do
- Assist eligible older adults with basic tax return preparation using Tax-Aide tools and tax software
- Ensure confidentiality and respectful client service
- Provide in-person support at local sites and coordinate with other volunteers
- Help with intake, scheduling, and basic program administration
What We're Looking For
- Interest in helping older adults and providing tax assistance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliability and ability to commit to scheduled shifts
- Willingness to learn and complete training
