About the Role LifeWise Academy seeks a dedicated volunteer teacher to bring Bible education to public school students during school hours. The role combines Bible knowledge with effective classroom instruction to reach both churched and unchurched students in a caring, redemptive environment. What You'll Do
- Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out lesson plans
- Maintain attendance, class rosters, health concerns, and parent permissions; keep accurate records
- Build relationships with students, volunteers and school personnel; communicate regularly with the program director
- Implement LifeWise policies and participate in annual LifeWise Summit and Teachers' Lounges or Meet-Ups
- Serve as LifeWise ambassador in the community and promote LifeWise's religious mission
- Create an organized, engaging classroom environment with diverse teaching strategies and redemptive discipline
- Prepare materials for substitute teachers and maintain classroom readiness What We're Looking For
- Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (school or church setting)
- Mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith; active participation in a local church
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; caring, perceptive, and student-focused
- Completion of LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date and commitment to ongoing training Compensation & Benefits
