About the Role The VMI Sales Specialist supports vendor-managed inventory for cylinders and hardgoods at strategic customers in Akron, OH. You will help ensure accurate orders, pricing, and processing in the JDE system, and assist with delivering products and converting orders to customer POs when needed. What You'll Do
- Visit a pre-determined list of strategic customers daily for Vendor Managed Inventory of cylinders and hardgoods.
- Ensure accuracy of orders, pricing, and processing in the JDE system; convert orders into customer PO format and email to purchasing when required.
- Help deliver products to customers as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the General Sales Manager, Territory Manager, and distribution supervisors.
- Identify and document Prostar conversion opportunities; meet quarterly with Territory Managers for review.
- Assist Territory Managers with cylinder audits.
- Write credit memos for returned hard goods while taking orders on-site and explore opportunities to convert customers to LG&E Express or EDI payments to reduce transaction costs. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and JDE; strong written and oral communication skills. Nice to Have

- Pay range: $21.02 - $30.83 per hour.
