Job title: VLSI and Hardware Architect
About the Role The role is to design and architect VLSI and hardware-based products and enable delivery teams to provide exceptional client engagement and satisfaction. You will define product requirements and drive end-to-end hardware development.
What You'll Do
- Define product requirements, design and implement VLSI and hardware devices.
- Upgrade design tools and toolchains; analyze the toolset chain for hardware development.
- Analyze components and perform cost-benefit analyses to select the best design.
- Lead end-to-end VLSI flow including design, DFT and verification; hardware product development from design to materials selection and low-level system software verification.
- Develop architectural designs for new and existing products; implement derived solutions and debug critical issues.
- Evangelize architecture to project and customer teams; monitor solution performance and continuously improve design for cost and performance.
- Define architecture requirements and strategy aligned with market needs; create scalable, reliable product-wide designs.
- Develop theme-based POCs to demonstrate feasibility of product ideas.
- Analyze technology strategy; assess impact of changes on product development.
- Provide solutioning for RFPs; collaborate with sales, development and consulting to reconcile solutions with architecture.
- Provide technical leadership in design, development and implementation of custom solutions using modern technology.
- Define current state features, identify improvements and propose target state solutions.
- Validate solutions/prototypes from technology and cost perspectives and document architectural targets.
- Track industry trends and relate them to current and future IT needs.
- Support product deployment; resolve complex issues; develop validation and performance testing plans.
- Maintain product roadmap and provide inputs for upgrades.
- Competency building: trainings, certifications, POCs, demos; contribute to thought leadership via white papers and PoVs; mentor developers and junior architects.
- Contribute to the architecture practice through interviews and other activities.
