About the Role Michael Kors is seeking a global-minded Visual Merchandising leader in Japan & Korea. This role supports the brand's vision by collaborating with local and international teams, aligning with global guidelines, and driving customer experience and sales through effective VM leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead collaboration with domestic and international teams to strengthen VM alignment, conduct effective meetings with Merchandising, and ensure product and buying strategies are understood; create local guidelines aligned with global guidelines and obtain necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with Global VMD Team (NY), participate in global calls, and lead the localization of seasonal windows for full-price and outlet channels from planning to execution.
• Manage store openings, renovations, and events; oversee all departments, vendors, and logistics.
• Coach and develop VM team members; manage VM budget; plan succession and foster strong leadership; recruit and develop talent.
• Own the VM Expert program by identifying Sales Associates to participate, cultivating a culture of development year-round, and managing the program.
• Oversee VM team performance, provide consistent feedback, and drive traffic-increasing initiatives using creative capabilities; present and execute ideas with US/NY partners.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years VMD experience in handbags/leather goods/RTW brands (foreign or domestic).
• Advanced knowledge of Visual Merchandising and understanding of how VMD supports customer experience.
• Cross-functional collaboration, teamwork, outstanding communication, and leadership.
• Creative mindset with ability to propose ideas.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint/Photoshop/Illustrator/Excel/Word.
• Native Japanese; Business-level English (reading/writing and speaking).
