About this role

Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a one course sabbatical replacement position of Visiting Instructor (or Visiting Assistant Professor with appropriate qualifications) in the Department of Business and Economics, starting January 2027.

Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States. Gustavus will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Gustavus is not an e-verify institution.

Employment Type: Part-Time; $5,000 per 4-credit course; Exempt (Salaried); In-Person Instruction.

Prerequisites

Required Qualifications Master’s degree in economics or a related field (PhD or ABD preferred)

Position Overview Teach 1 course section in the 2027 spring semester. The teaching responsibility will be one upper-level economics elective, drawn from departmental needs and the candidate’s expertise, with particular interest in health economics. The will meet either M-W-F for 65 minutes each day or T-Th 95 minutes class each day. Help cultivate a welcoming community where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
