About this role
Your team
APAC Institutional Client Business is responsible for understanding the strategic, investment, and risk-management needs of leading institutional investors and translating those needs into commercial opportunities. The team serves a broad range of clients, including sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pension funds, insurers, and banks, providing access to BlackRock’s investment products, capabilities, technology, and risk analytics.
Across Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Australia, South Korea, and Japan, the team partners with colleagues globally to develop solutions tailored to client objectives and bring the breadth of BlackRock’s capabilities to institutional investors across the region.

Provide actionable market and competitive intelligence to shape distribution strategy, product enhancements, and new-product development in response to investment trends, regulatory developments, and portfolio activity. Support the development of a South Korea digital-assets distribution plan, positioning the business to act when local market and regulatory conditions permit. Maintain disciplined operational execution, documentation, and controls while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused culture of excellence in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong knowledge of investment products, with familiarity with exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including their mechanics and applications, as well as index and index-linked strategies; experience with structured or derivatives products is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercise sound judgment, prioritize competing opportunities, and build trusted relationships with consistently high standards of professional integrity.
- Understanding of the South Korean regulatory and distribution environment, together with the ability to assess medium- and long-term opportunities for iShares.
